Interesting tampura from southern India also called Bhajni Veena. It is an instrument that unlike the northern tampouras has a wooden crate instead of the traditional calabash. It has 5 strings and measures overall 101 cm.
Pleasantly decorated, it does not present the precision of construction of the tampura of northern India.
This is a study model
By cons it is a very solid instrument that does not risk accident as for instruments with calabash.
Length of vibrating rope: about 66 cm.
