This bouzouki-dulcimer is ideal for medieval music and all folk music. It is a drone instrument like the dulcimer, but its playing position is that of a guitar.
It has 4 metal strings: 2 bass drones and 2 paired treble chanterelles. Several tunings are possible, for example in fifths, in open tuning of C or D (C grave – G – C – C or D grave – A – D – D).
